Covid-19: Travel Restrictions between the UK and Monaco

Travelling to Monaco from the UK

From 14th January: France has modified its health control measures for travelling from the United Kingdom (the following measures must be complied with in order to travel to Monaco):

Travellers will have to comply to the following rules:

  • A negative PCR or antigen test performed less than 24 hours before departure
  • For fully vaccinated travellers, there is no longer any obligation to provide a compelling reason to travel to France (or Monaco), nor any obligation to self-isolate on arrival on the French or Monegasque territory
  • For non-vaccinated travellers, from the UK, the obligation to register prior to their departure remains in place, which can be done on the following digital platform "éOS" , pallowing to inform of the address they will be staying at during their stay in France (or Monaco). Upon arriving on the French or Monegasque territories, they must observe a strict period of self-isolation of 10 days, at the address they provided. This quarantine will be controlled by law enforcement. They will also have to provide a compelling reason to travel, the list of which can be found here

Conditions for travel to Monaco

Regardless of nationality, anyone aged 16 or over, who wishes to enter the Principality from a foreign country, must present one of the following two documents:

  • Full vaccination

OR

  • A certificate showing proof of recovery from COVID-19: a positive PCR test taken more than 15 days ago and within the last 6 months

Travelling to the UK from France and Monaco

For all passengers age 18 and over arriving from France and Monaco (including British nationals), the following procedures remain in place:

Fully Vaccinated Passengers

 

Non Vaccinated Passengers

  • Compelling reason to travel. Any non-vaccinated person travelling to the United Kingdom must show evidence of a compelling reason to travel. A non-exhaustive list of said reasons can be found here .
  • Pre-departure PCR or antigen test 48 hours before departure
  • A completed passenger locator form: www.gov.uk/provide-journey-contact-details-before-travel-uk
  • Pre-booked day 2 and day 8 COVID-19 travel tests – to be taken after arriving in England: www.gov.uk/find-travel-test-provider
  • Upon arrival: quarantine for 10 days
