Briefing on the upcoming Eurasian Media Forum hosted by the Embassy of Kazakhstan

The Embassy of the Principality of Monaco attended the Briefing on the upcoming Eurasian Media Forum hosted by the Embassy of Kazakhstan in the United Kingdom on Monday 1st April at the Frontline Club in London.

The Embassy of the Principality of Monaco attended the Briefing on the upcoming Eurasian Media Forum hosted by the Embassy of Kazakhstan in the United Kingdom on Monday 1st April at the Frontline Club in London.

The Ambassador of Russia, H.E. Dr Alexander Yakovenko and the Armenian Ambassador, H.E. Mr Arman Kirakossian as well as Mrs Sue Philips, Director of the Eurasian Media Forum International Foundation attended the event. International Media delegates and representatives of the diplomatic corps were also among the guests.

The Eurasian Media Forum is held every year in Kazakhstan and gathers the most significant figures of politics, economics, and the media. The Forum was launched in 2002 and quickly became a world class platform for global dialogue on the most pressing topics of America, Europe and Asia.

Every year the Forum brings together more than 600 delegates from 60 countries including politicians, experts and leading media figures. The 16th edition of the Forum which will take place from 22nd to 24th of May 2019 in Almaty will be opened by the founding Chairman of the Organizing Committee, Mrs. Dariga Nazarbayeva who is also the daughter of former President of Kazakhstan, Mr Nursultan Nazarbayev.

During the evening, H.E. Mr Erlan Idrissov, Ambassador of Kazakhstan to the United Kingdom gave a speech where he highlighted the political and economic influence of the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Mr Nursultan Nazarbayev and the political changes that came into effect since the nomination of his successor President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev. He also expressed gratitude for the support the United Kingdom provided throughout the economic development of the country and hopes that the special relationship between the United Kingdom and Kazakhstan will strengthen even further.
