Held under the High Patronage and the presence of H.S.H. Prince Albert II of Monaco, those two days gathered the Foundation’s governing bodies, its partners, and numerous distinguished figures committed to the protection of the environment. H.E. Mrs Evelyne Genta, the Ambassador of Monaco to the United Kingdom and President of the UK branch of the Prince Albert II of Monaco Foundation, played an important role in organizing the events. The Embassy of Monaco in London was involved in selecting prestigious venues and coordinating the visit of the Sovereign and the guests.

The celebrations began on Thursday 16th October, with a welcome cocktail at the RAF Club, an emblematic private club of the Royal Air Force founded in 1918, which embodies British history and elegance. In this refined and distinguished setting, H.E. Mrs Evelyne Genta welcomed the Presidents of the Foundation’s foreign branches and their teams for an opportunity to exchange ideas in a warm and convivial atmosphere.

The following morning, the Board of Directors meeting was held at the Royal Society, one of the oldest and most respected scientific institutions in the world, founded in the 17th century to promote the advancement of knowledge. Chaired by His Serene Highness, the discussions provided an opportunity to review ongoing projects and define the Foundation’s strategic priorities.

The evening of the 17th October, the Prince Albert II Foundation Awards Ceremony took place at 116 Pall Mall, the prestigious headquarters of the Institute of Directors. This early 19th century building, located in the heart of London, offered a solemn and elegant setting in which to honour the laureates recognized for their outstanding contributions to environmental protection. The event was attended by many ambassadors and members of the London Diplomatic Corps, as well as prominent figures from British society. Among the guests were also presidents and representatives of British charities, environmental foundations, and renowned universities, which are all committed to advancing environmental protection and scientific research. The diversity of guests illustrated the Foundation’s international reach and its ability to bring together key players in planetary preservation around common initiatives. The evening concluded with a cocktail reception, encouraging inspiring exchanges between guests and the Foundation’s partners.

H.E. Mrs Evelyne Genta and the Embassy of Monaco were proud to welcome those events to London for the first time. The success of the Prince Albert II of Monaco Foundation’s visit to the UK was a testament to the Principality’s leading role in promoting sustainable development at home and abroad.
