Official visit to Abu Dhabi: H.E. Mrs Evelyne Genta presents her letters of credence as Monaco’s non-resident Ambassador to the United Arab Emirates

From the 26th of November to the 1st of December, H.E. Mrs Evelyne Genta travelled to Abu Dhabi to present her Letters of Credence as Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary non-resident Ambassador of the Principality of Monaco to the United Arab Emirates. This appointment represents a significant step in strengthening diplomatic relations between the two States and reflects Monaco’s commitment to enhancing its presence in the region.
The ceremony took place in the presence of H.H. Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the United Arab Emirates. On this occasion, the Ambassador also held a one-on-one meeting with the President. Conducted in an atmosphere of mutual respect, the exchange reaffirmed the strength of the relationship between the Principality of Monaco and the United Arab Emirates, while addressing shared priorities and opportunities for future cooperation.
H.E. Mrs Evelyne Genta has served as Monaco’s Ambassador to the United Kingdom since 2011 and inaugurated the first Monegasque Embassy in London shortly before the 2012 Olympic Games. In the United Kingdom, she also chairs the British branch of the Prince Albert II of Monaco Foundation, fostering partnerships with leading academic institutions, including the Universities of Cambridge, Oxford, and Edinburgh. H.E. Mrs Genta will continue her work in the United Kingdom to promote the Principality, with a particular emphasis on its environmental, cultural, and scientific commitments.
This official mission to Abu Dhabi paves the way for deeper bilateral relations in the Middle East. The appointment of H.E. Mrs Evelyne Genta to this strategic role will support and consolidate shared interests, particularly in the fields of innovation, sustainability, culture, and economic development.
