Following the passing of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II on the 8th of September 2022, T.S.H Prince Albert II of Monaco and Princess Charlene of Monaco made an official visit to London on the 18th and 19th September 2022 to honour the late Monarch.

Following the passing of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II on the 8th of September 2022, T.S.H Prince Albert II of Monaco and Princess Charlene of Monaco made an official visit to London on the 18th and 19th September 2022 to honour the late Monarch.

Her Majesty became Queen of the United Kingdom and other Commonwealth realms on 6th February 1952 and was admired worldwide for her loyalty and dedication to service throughout her 70 years of reign, qualities which both the Prince and Princess of Monaco deeply respect.

This past Sunday, Their Serene Highnesses attended a reception at Buckingham Palace upon invitation from His Majesty King Charles III and Queen consort Camilla. More than 500 world leaders took part in this historical reception which was His Majesty The King’s first introduction to the world stage as King. Prince Albert II and Princess Charlene of Monaco had the opportunity to interact with Heads of States and their spouses and discuss the impact Her Majesty The Queen had on everyone through her wisdom and dedication.

The State Funeral in honour of the late Queen Elizabeth II took place at Westminster Abbey on Monday 19th. The world famous abbey saw more than 2000 people gather inside to make their final farewell, the ceremony included Presidents, Primes Ministers and members of Royal Families alike. T.S.H Prince Albert II and Princess Charlene sat amongst other members of Foreign Royal Families on the other side of the coffin from the British Royal Family. The service was conducted by The Dean of Westminster, Dr David Hoyle, it also included hymns and readings from Reverends and the Archbishop of Canterbury as well as newly appointed Prime Minister Liz Truss.

The funeral was followed by a reception at Church House hosted by the new Secretary of State for Foreign,  Commonwealth and Development Affairs, Rt Hon James Cleverly MP. H.S.H Prince Albert signed the book of condolences on behalf of His family and Monaco’s citizens.
