On July 18th 2024, H.E. Mrs. Evelyne Genta attended the 4th European Political Community Summit as part of a Monegasque delegation led by H.E. Mr. Pierre Dartout, Minister of State of the Principality.

The delegation also included Mrs. Isabelle Berro-Amadeï, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation, H.E. Mr. Frédéric Labarrère, Ambassador and Head of Monaco's Mission to the European Union, and Mrs Isabelle Costa, High Commissioner for European Affairs. The event took place at the prestigious Blenheim Palace in Oxfordshire, a UNESCO World Heritage site and birthplace of Sir Winston Churchill.

The summit was hosted by Sir Keir Starmer, the new British Prime Minister, and brought together 43 Heads of State and Government, the President of the European Council, the High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, as well as the Secretaries General of NATO, the OSCE, and the Council of Europe.

True to its previous editions, this meeting aimed to strengthen cohesion and cooperation among European countries in the face of current challenges. Topics of discussion included support for Ukraine, migration management, preservation of democracy, and energy security.

The Minister of State H.M Mr Pierre Dartout took part  in a round table on the theme of "energy and connectivity," where he emphasized the importance of diversifying energy sources and improving connectivity infrastructure to ensure sustainable energy security in Europe.

The Minister of State also took advantage of the event to hold a trilateral meeting with his counterparts from Andorra and San Marino, thus reaffirming the bonds of friendship and cooperation that unite these three states. He also had a bilateral meeting with the Prime Minister of Malta, Mr. Robert Abela.

To conclude the day, all European leaders were welcomed by His Majesty King Charles III for a royal reception.
