H.S.H. Prince Albert gave a short speech on the importance of ensuring that Arctic-related issues continue to feature on international agendas despite the current war in Ukraine which had the unfortunate effect of hampering international cooperation in the Artic region.

Following the speech, Monaco’s Head of State took part in a panel discussion composed of Sir Frederik Paulsen, Chair of UArctic Board, Lars Kullerud, President of UArctic, Aaja Chemnitz Larsen, Greenlandic politician and Chair of Arctic Parliamentarians and Max Richardson, Senior Director at Investec. The panel discussed in length about the urgency of the situation in the Artic which is amongst the most endangered regions on the Planet. They have also presented possible ways in which to tackle climate change and protect this region.
