Her Majesty the Queen Elizabeth II’s Platinum Jubilee

From the 2nd to the 5th June 2022, commemorations happened in honour of her Majesty the Queen Elizabeth II to celebrate her 70 years of reign. This is the longest reign in the history of the United Kingdom.

The Royal Family on the balcony of Buckingham Palace - 05.06.2022

For this occasion, H.E. Mrs Genta went to the Service of Thanksgiving to celebrate the Monarch at Saint Paul’s Cathedral this past Friday the 3rd of June. The Royal Family, the British gorvernment as well as many Ambassadors were present. The Queen herself was not there on that morning however she represented by H.R.H. Prince Charles, H.R.H. Prince William as well as many members of the Royal Family. The Ambassador felt honoured to have the possibility to celebrate this incredible anniversary in the name of the Principality of Monaco and to be a witness to this historical event.  

The Service was followed by a Lunch at Lancaster House with members of the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office. H.E. Mrs Genta had the opportunity to discuss with other diplomatsand members of the British Governments in particular with Mrs Liz Truss, the Secretary of State for Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Affairs.
