The British Government has announced that several countries and territories including Monaco and France will be removed from the list of Travel Corridors this Saturday.

The Embassy of the Principality of Monaco wishes to inform all Monegasque nationals and residents that the British authorities have taken the decision to remove several countries and territories from the “Travel Corridors” exemption list, including France and Monaco.

This decision will come into force as of this Saturday, 15 August at 4 a.m. After this deadline, all travellers from France and/or Monaco will be required to stay in isolation for the required 14 days upon arrival. It is possible to travel for a shorter duration provided that strict confinement measures are respected for the entire duration of the stay (e.g. not using public transport and only making a journey in the event of an emergency). This form has to be completed online form and therefore requires an internet connection as well as all relevant travel information; it is advisable to complete this before you travel to avoid delays at the border (you may present a digital version of the form to the border authorities on a smartphone). Refusal to complete the form constitutes a criminal offence and may result in a fine.

The UK government may use this information to contact you if you (or someone you have travelled with) develop symptoms related to the coronavirus and to check that you comply with the quarantine measure for the required 14 days.
